Why do I need TwitWho?

TwitWho is a twitter based service that provide directory like view on twitter users.

There are 2 main use cases:
*to find experts in some field, celebrities, news channels, etc..
*to create custom group that includes just your friends, colleagues or family members.

Why to log-in, is it safe?

You can freely browse groups of twitter users, as well as custom groups without log-in. You need to autorise yourself only if you want to follow/unfollow some person, group of persons, service, or you need to manage some group.

It is safe for you to log-in with TwitWho due to we use twitter OAuth, that allows users to approve application to act on their behalf without sharing password [http://apiwiki.twitter.com/OAuth-FAQ]

What is custom group of twitter users, and how to create one?

You can easily create new group of twitter users for your particular aim. It can be group of friends, coworkers, or people that participate in some event.
Customs groups are not included in the directory, in order to browse some custom group you should already know it name.

You will be shown as a moderator of group that you create, and other people will have possibility to ask you through regular twitter direct messages or replies to remove/join them. All customs groups are shown under 'my' category.
example: you create custom group google, then you can manage it or people can view it using url: http://twitwho.net/my/google

In order to create new custom group you can use link 'create new custom group' from main page,
or you can just access group as it is exist, and if it is available you can immediately add data there.

How to manage/create new category?

We want to ensure high quality of our directory and so we do our best to check every entry.

To manage some category you should [Become a moderator]. We are greatly appreciate help to build reliable human-edited directory of twitter users.

How to add myself or suggest profile?

There are 2 steps:

1. Check if your twitter profile conform with our Submission rules:
    a. No any advertisement, SPAM, or pornography.
    b. You should have at least: 1000 followers, and 100 tweets.
    c. The profiles/services must have English language content, and be described in English.

2. find appropriate category for your profile, and contact moderator(just send him twitter message).
If you can't find appropriate category or it doesn't exist contact @twitwhohq.

Terms of Service and Rules policies

There are some limitations on the type of twitter users (profiles) that can be managed with TwitWho. You may not manage with TwitWho twitter users that post people's private and confidential information, post threats of violence against others, or promote illegal activities.

* Serial Accounts: You may not create serial custom groups for disruptive or abusive purposes.

* Selling group/custom groups: Unless you have been specifically permitted to do so in a separate agreement with Helion-Prime Solutions Ltd., you agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade or resell the Services for any purpose.

* Spam: You may not use the TwitWho service for the purpose of spamming anyone.
What constitutes “spamming” will evolve as we respond to new tricks and tactics by spammers.
Some of the factors that we take into account when determining what conduct is considered to be spamming are:
* If you have created group/custom group with large amount of users in a short amount of time;
* The number of spam complaints that have been filed against you;

* Pornography: You may not manage with TwitWho twitter users that use obscene or pornographic images in either your profile picture or user background.

We reserves the right to immediately terminate your groups without further notice in the event that, in its judgment, you violate these Rules or the Terms of Service.
